Extrememly well made!

I haven't used the Newport Infrared Gas Grill yet since it's winter here, so this initial review is simply regarding the fit, finish and overall build quality. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was very pleased when I received the grill from MAGMA and opened the box. It's not a cheap grill and doesn't look like it. It's a really well designed and extremely well made grill that exudes quality both in terms of materials used and the fit and finish.

I ordered the dual locking flush deck socket mount system from Fisheries Supply so that the grill will be secure on the gunnel of my boat. I asked MAGMA customer service if I could order another set of sockets so that the grill could be used on the port or starboard side of the boat and they're around $60 for a second set of sockets with rubber caps.

I ordered a nice MAGMA cover and optional propane valve from Hodges Marine Sales for a reasonable price and the cover fits very well. Not sure if I'll be able to post a follow-up review once I get out on the water this summer but will do if I'm able. I'm expecting greatness from this grill and definitely looking forward to cooking all manner of good stuff out on the lake.

Lake day made better

Fantastic addition to a great day on the lake! Well made, perfect size and little assembly required. Worth every penny. Lake days are great but made even better with a grilled burger!
