Alternative Solution
While at some point I may use this rack for its intended purpose, for the time being I am using it to store large, balloon-like fenders that do not fit in my cockpit hatch or sometimes to secure a fish box / cooler while fishing with a handline off the stern. I just purchased a second set for the other side of my 24 foot sailboat. Very satisfied customer!

Removable Rail Mounted Kayak/Sup Rack
Good product so far, not mounted long so will know more at the end of this boating season (2023). Sturdy, good construction, would be nice if you could rotate mounts to oppose your stanchions.

Covers are weak
Covers totally disintegrate in the sun and with any wear and tear are shortly in tatters. Maybe try sunbrella? Otherwise product is solid.
