I like the fact that a nut was added to secure the lower grate. My original did not have that feature and a couple times the grate fell out while dumping the ash. Could have been tossed.
I bought my first magma grill in 1981. In 87 I replaced it with a Magma gas grill used it on Ericson 28 and my Tayana 37 until I sold the boat in 2003> I bought a another Magma Charcoal Grill in 04 for my 2nd E-28. When I sold the boat in 07, I kept the grill and been using it on the patio. The 2 center rods on the lower grill finally broke away and needed replacement. I think something that lasts for 18yrs is testament to its durability.
