Close Fit for original part

Bought this to replace a rusted and crumbling plate and dome. It works OK but seems just a bit smaller than the original. The grill used to lock the dome and plate in place. Now with the new, slightly smaller parts the dome and plate are not secure and need to be put back in place each time. But the grill is serviceable.
