The Plancha Top is made from oil coated steel with searing center heat, perfect for stir fry or hibachi-style cooking.  Steel base prevents heat distortion to maintain a perfect fit with the Firebox. Slide any excess grease through the back hole to deposit it in the Firebox grease containment system.  Crackling, seared food will turn your RV adventure or tailgating party into the hottest spot to be!  Requires the use of the Magma Crossover Single or Double Firebox (sold separately).

Heavy duty product!

I was pleased to see just how stout this grill top is. I seasoned it just as I do my cast iron pans and, although I have yet to use it, I feel it will perform well.

Unique aperatice, but we enjoy it

We got this instead of the griddle top because its description led me to believe it was Teflon or some other nonstick coating, and we didn't want that. This is a nice metal surface but does not cook like a flattop or griddle. I was unfamiliar with what a Plancha was. Think of a flat Wok. It is good for getting things real hot, real fast. It's been great for veggies and thinly sliced potatoes. We have yet to see how bacon and eggs will cook.

Crossover Plancha Top

I've now used the plancha top with my Crossover grill for fish, meats and veggies and it has performed very well. Easy to use, and easy to clean. 5 stars!
